CREATIVE
Author. Musician. Content Creator. Speaker.

As a regional artist living and working on Wiradjuri Country, Lusi brings her biracial heritage of Fijian and Australian cultures to her story telling. Words are interwoven with truths, melodies and various expressions of practice.

After obtaining a BA Performance major (WIMA now Excelsia, Sydney), Lusi has spent the past two decades raising and homeschooling children while she continued to produce art in various ways. She wrote her own album 'Walking Contradiction' and recorded it (2019 Dotted Eight Studios Orange, NSW). Lusi wrote, illustrated and published her children's book 'Jack's Visit to Cowra' (2021 - sold at the National Library Bookshop, Canberra) and was the recipient of the NSW Government ANZAC Community Grant to have her book printed and distributed to regional, rural and remote libraries across the state.

Her current project is her most ambitious undertaking so far - writing, composing, casting, producing and directing her new Australian theatre work 'Intertwined' (July 2024 Cowra Civic Centre).

Lusi wrote the lyrics for the 'World Peace Suite' composed by Nicholas Gentile (2020) which was later performed in Cowra by the Sydney Youth Orchestra (2023), was the guest speaker at the World Peace day Youth Forum (2023) and the recipient of the Rotary Club of Cowra's World Peace Day Award (2023).

Lusi is a wife to her best friend Brett and together they have 5 children. She lives with multiple auto immune diseases including Systemic Lupus, which internally motivates her to share the stories she keeps in her heart and mind, so she is able to contribute to a lasting legacy of peace, community and beauty in the world.

Lusi is thrilled to have had Teruko Sharif kindly translate 'Jack's Visit to Cowra' into Japanese.
